About the Ti Plant
The Ti Plant (Cordyline fruticosa) is native to the tropical forests of Southeast Asia and the western Pacific, and holds deep cultural significance in Hawaii and Polynesian societies where it is planted for good luck and spiritual protection. Its broad, lance-shaped leaves arch gracefully from cane-like stems and come in spectacular color varieties -- from vivid reds and hot pinks to deep purples, greens with cream edges, and multicolored blends. New leaves unfurl from the terminal tip in tight spirals. Indoors it can reach 1-2 meters with a slender, palm-like profile. Its vivid tropical coloring rivals even Croton and Coleus.

Care Tips
Provide bright indirect light; colorful varieties need more light to maintain vivid pigmentation, reverting to greener tones in low light. Water when the top 2-3 cm of soil is dry, keeping soil evenly moist but not waterlogged. Ti Plants are sensitive to fluoride and chlorine in tap water, which cause brown leaf tips -- use filtered or rainwater. High humidity is preferred; brown edges signal dry air. Feed every 2-4 weeks during the growing season with a balanced liquid fertilizer. Remove lower leaves as they naturally yellow and drop. Propagate by cutting stem sections (ti logs) and laying them horizontally in moist soil.
