About the Lithops

Lithops, known as Living Stones, are a genus of roughly 40 species native to southern Africa, primarily Namibia and South Africa, where they grow in arid, rocky terrain, camouflaged among pebbles and gravel. Each plant consists of a pair of fleshy, fused leaves separated by a central fissure, with flat tops that display intricate patterns of windows, lines, and dots unique to each species and specimen.
